What are the chances of my working at taco bell?
I want to go up to taco bell and ask about info for the job. Im not sure if they’ll let me but i’m 14 and i would like to work there. The only reason i want to work there is because i spend alot of my free time doing NOTHING, i’d rather be working, getting a couple of bucks and helping out my family and i could alos use some of the money on me. What other jobs would you recommend for a 14 yr old and a job that hires?
I’m sorry, but I don’t believe you’ll be able to get at any place like Taco Bell until you’re at least 16 years old. This is due to child labor laws and insurance reasons. I admire your willingness to find a job though! It used to be that kids your age could get jobs at the local movie theater, the local dairy whip, on farms, etc. But some of these jobs can be very dangerous and cause serious injuries to younger children. The Federal Government stepped in and passed the child labor laws that kept kids your age from working at any job that involved the public or dangerous jobs like farm work. A real bummer, I know! Depending on where you live ( the size of the town ), if you have a small family type grocery store, you may be able to get a part time job delivering groceries with your bicycle, or something similar. Lacking that possibility, you could mow lawns, wash cars, rake leaves, shovel snow, etc. in the neighborhood. That way, you’re kind of your own boss! I wish you luck and hope you find some type of work for some extra spending money!
